 Air-Fryer Chicken Parmesan Recipe  

Crispy, cheesy, and healthier than traditional frying!



  Ingredients (Serves 4)  

  For the Chicken: 

- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs total)  

- 1 cup all-purpose flour (or gluten-free flour)  

- 2 large eggs  

- 2 tbsp water  

- 1.5 cups Italian-seasoned breadcrumbs (or panko)  

- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese  

- 1 tsp garlic powder  

- 1 tsp Italian seasoning  

- 1/2 tsp salt  

- 1/2 tsp black pepper  

- Olive oil spray  

  For Topping:

- 1 cup marinara sauce  

- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese  

- Fresh basil or parsley (optional, for garnish)  


 Serving Suggestions:

- Cooked pasta, garlic bread, or a side salad.  



 Instructions 

1. Prep the Chicken:

   - Pound chicken breasts to 1/2-inch thickness using a meat mallet or rolling pin (ensures even cooking).  

   - Pat dry with paper towels.  


2. Set Up Dredging Stations:

   - Bowl 1: Flour mixed with a pinch of salt and pepper.  

   - Bowl 2: Whisk eggs and water.  

   - Bowl 3: Combine breadcrumbs, Parmesan, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. 


3. Coat the Chicken:  

   - Dredge each breast in flour (shake off excess).  

   - Dip in egg wash, then press into breadcrumb mixture to fully coat.  


4. Air-Fry:

   - Preheat air fryer to **375°F (190°C)** for 3–5 minutes.  

   - Lightly spray the basket with oil. Arrange chicken in a single layer (work in batches if needed).  

   - Spray chicken tops with oil. Cook for **10–12 minutes**, flip halfway, and spray again.  

   - Check internal temp reaches **165°F (74°C)**.  


5. Add Toppings:

   - Spread 1–2 tbsp marinara on each breast, then sprinkle mozzarella.  

   - Air-fry an additional **2–3 minutes** at 375°F until cheese melts.  


6. Serve:

   - Garnish with fresh herbs. Serve over pasta or with sides.  


  Pro Tips

- Avoid Sogginess: Don’t overload the basket; cook in batches.  

- Extra Crispy: Double-coat by dipping in egg and breadcrumbs twice.  

- Gluten-Free: Use GF breadcrumbs and flour.  

- Storage: Reheat in the air fryer at 350°F for 5 minutes.
